Electronic Devices

(Includes but not limited to Cell Phones, CD and MP3 Players, hand-held game devices, iPads, tablets, etc.)

  • Electronic Items must be OFF and concealed between the hours of 9:25am-3:50pm (9:25am – 3:50pm on Wednesdays).
  • Teachers may allow students to use an electronic device in their classroom for academic purposes, or students may be given permission to use their electronic device during their lunch shift. When you leave that classroom or the cafeteria your electronic device must be off.
  • Photographing or taking a video of a fight or altercation with an electronic device will be considered an act of inciting and will result in an automatic 5-day out of school suspension.
  • Electronic items that are seen, heard or used during school hours will be confiscated and returned based on the following guidelines:
    • 1st Offense- returned to student at end of school day
    • 2nd Offense- returned to parent/guardian only
    • 3rd Offense- loss of privilege- item not allowed on campus for remainder of school year
  • CMS will not be held liable or responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged electronic items. 

The school Administration reserves the right to adjust or change any policy if an item is deemed inappropriate for the school environment.
