Leadership Team

Principal - Joshua Bing - [email protected]
I was born and raised in Eatonville, Florida a tiny town with a large amount of tradition and history. I went to college at the University of North Florida where I majored in English Studies and minored in Education. I then went on to teach English at Westside High School in Jacksonville, Fl. I returned to the University of North Florida where I completed my Masters in Educational Leadership before returning to Orlando to work at Edgewater High School as an Administrative Dean and ESOL Curriculum Compliance Teacher, followed by moving to Blankner K-8 School as an Assistant Principal.
I’ve experienced all levels of K-12 education, and from that experience have hardened my belief that all students across all types of learning styles, demographics and socio-economic statuses can learn. I believe that it’s our job as educators to solve the puzzle of figuring out the best way to ensure that outcome for every student that walks our halls.

Staffing Specialist (ESE Students) - Dolores Santiago - [email protected]
I am Mrs. Dolores Santiago, your school’s Staffing Specialist. I was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Puerto Rico when I was 6 years old. I completed most of my education there from 1st grade to a Bachelor’s degree. My major in college was Humanities, alongside a minor in Communications. My master’s is in Educational Leadership. I have taught most grade levels from pre-kindergarten to 12th. I have been living in Florida for the past 22 years. I enjoy cooking, reading and traveling. One of my favorite things to do is to work with students and see their faces when they understand a concept and are able to master the skill in class. I’m confident we will have a great school year 2021-22. Welcome back Falcons!

Dean - Luis Chacon

Dean - Deogracia Wigen  [email protected]
Hello, my name is Deogracia Wigen; I was born in Panama City, Republic of Panama. I lived in Panama for 6 years, in which my mother remarried and we moved to the United States in 1978 to Fort Bragg, NC where my father was stationed until June of 1979, then we moved to Milwaukee, WI where I grew up and completed my elementary, middle and high school years. I attended Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI for my under graduate. My major was in Science of Education from grades 1-9 and a minor in Spanish. In 2001, I moved to Florida to get away from the cold weather. I worked at Ridgewood Park from 2001- 2013. While working at Ridgewood I attended Nova Southeastern University. In 2004 where I completed my Masters in Organizational Leadership and Management and then in 2008, I received my Reading Specialist. From 2013-2017 I worked in Moss Park Elementary in Lake Nona. From 2017-2020 I worked at Meadow Woods Elementary as a Dean and as an intensive Reading teacher. Then I decided I wanted to try middle school in 2020.
As an educator, I have taught in grades 1st through 7th grade and have enjoyed every minute of it. I can honestly say that my philosophy about education has changed in the 22 years that I have been teaching. My believe as an instructor is that all children can learn when they have a safe and caring community that allows them to express their feelings and their thoughts. In our communities today, it is very important to have parental involvement for our students. When students see that their parents are present in their education achievements they tend to work harder and feel proud about themselves. For an educator he or she should be morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest of expectations for each and every one of his/her students.

School Counselor - Shane Johnson - [email protected]
I was born in Southern California and moved around a bit as a military family while I was young. After high school, I attended Valencia Community College before transferring to the University of Central Florida for a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I continued at UCF for a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Part of my Master’s Degree was going to school in Italy for a summer semester and then backpacking throughout Europe. I believe travel is a great education in itself as I have been to 20 countries on four continents. I have worked in private practice, community agencies and adolescent residential programs. I am beginning my 25th year as a Professional School Counselor both on the elementary and middle school levels. I am also the current President of the Orange County School Counselor Association advocating for Professional School Counselors. This will be my 22nd year at Conway Middle School and am honored to serve the community. As a Professional School Counselor, my goal is to address the academic and career endeavors of students and also their social and emotional well-being. Thank you for allowing me to serve.

School Counselor - Brooke Coe - [email protected]
I was born and raised in a small town outside of Jacksonville, Florida. After high school I attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville, now known as Florida State College at Jacksonville. After completing two years of college there, I transferred to the University of Florida where I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Sociology and minored in Education. I had the opportunity to work at the University of Florida career center. During my time at the career center, I was able to teach a college and career class. It was there that I decided to work toward earning a Master’s degree. My next step led me to the University of Central Florida where I received my Master’s degree in Counselor Education, with both school counseling and mental health counseling tracks. Upon graduation I began working as a Professional School Counselor in OCPS. I have been at Conway Middle School for 16 years. I enjoy working with the Conway community. As a Professional School Counselor, I strive to help prepare students for their next step in life whatever that may be. I believe all students are capable of being successful in school and life and I am happy to support them and their families along the way.
