At Conway Middle School, maintaining and building strong relationships with parents, students and community is an important key factor. We believe that student achievement is strongest when families and community members are partners in learning. There are multiple ways to stay involved and connected:

Conway Junior High was first built on April 24, 1968, but was not opened until July 1969. The school opened under the leadership of Principal Dewey Stallard. The school colors of red, white, and blue were selected along with the emblem of the Falcon. This was done by the Parent Teachers Association led by PTA president Mrs. J.C. Stults. For many years Conway Junior High School delivered a full 7th,8th and 9th grade curriculum. The 1987-88 school year was transitional, as the school became Conway Middle School for 6th,7th and 8th grades. The new middle school philosophy included teaming students with a specific group of academic teachers. Conway Middle School was recognized as a National School of Excellence the following year.
